Der Assault in Battlefield 3 steht auf dem Schlachtfeld immer an vorderster Front – er ist der Mann, der im Kugelhagel vorrückt, mit seinem Granatwerfer kleinere Feindgruppen ausschaltet und der mit seinem Sturmgewehr die ultimative Allround-Klasse im Infantrie-Bereich ist. Die größte Spezialisierung des Assaults ist seine fehlende Spezialisierung – sein Metier ist der Kampf gegen Feinde in allen Bereichen, Entfernungen und Lebenslagen. Durch diverse Upgrades und unterschiedliche Ausrüstung kann er universell eingesetzt werden und sich damit in besonderen Situationen einen Vorteil erkaufen – auf Kosten eines Nachteils in anderen Situationen. Außerdem ist er in Battlefield 3 als Sanitäter für das Heilen und Wiederbeleben verantwortlich.

Die Ausrüstung des Assault

Der Assault ist generell mit einem Sturmgewehr und einer eventuell unter diesem Sturmgewehr angebrachten Schrotflinte oder einem Granatwerfer ausgestattet. Das Sturmgewehr kann mit diversen Unlocks an die jeweilige Situation angepasst werden. Außerdem hat er ein Medi-Pack und einen Defibrilator für den Einsatz als Frontsanitäter dabei.

M16A3 / M16A4 The M16A3 has been featured in all Battlefield games since Battlefield 2, where it was the default assault rifle for the Assault class on the USMC side. I was featured in Bad Company 2 and Bad Company 2, it is rumored to be one of the main assault rifles in Battlefield 3, or at the least, an unlockable rifle. AEK-971 The modern variety of the AK-47, the AEK-971 is the main rifle of the Russian army and was featured in both BF2, Bad Company 1 and 2. It is expected to be the main battle rifle of the opposing side in Battlefield 3 (Russian and/or Middle Eastern). G3 The G3 is a popular assault rifle first made by Heckler & Koch in 1959, and is still in use today around the world, especially in third world countries. The G3 is used in many different variations, and is known for its stopping power and accuracy. The G3 was previously featured in many Battlefield games, and will return in Battlefield 3. M27 The M27 is the newest infantry rifle, scheduled for service in the US Marine Corp. The M27 is based on the HK416 and features a gas-operated short-stroke piston action with a heavy barrel for improved long range accuracy. The M27 will make its first appearance in the Battlefield series in Battlefield 3. G36C The G36 and G36C were first featured in Battlefield 2, and now the G36C will return as an unlockable carbine rifle in Battlefield 3. The G36 was first introduced in the 1990s, and is today used around the world among special forces and counter terrorism units. AK-74M The AK-74 was a modernization of the famous AK-47, and in 1991, the AK-74 got modernized once again, this time carrying the name AK-74M. The modernized version featured a new synthetic stock, and a lot of minor changes and updates. The AK-74M has since become the standard rifle of the Russian forces, and it will be the primary weapon of the Russian forces in Battlefield 3. AN-94 The Russian-designed AN-94 is a replacement for the famous Kalashnikov rifle. It has a revolutionary way of firing two bullets before the recoil kicks in, which gives it unique two-shot burst with great accuracy. The AN-94 was first featured in Bad Company 2, and will return in Battlefield 3. Khaybar KH2002 The Khaybar KH2002 is an Iranian-designed assault rifle made in the early 2000s, and has now entered service in the Iranian military. Most of the features of the KH2002 are secret, and it’s the first time the weapon will appear in the Battlefield series. AS VAL / VSS The AS VAL is a Russian-made assault rifle with integrated suppressor, made for the Russian special forces. It was developed in the 1980s and is used to this day with the Russian Spetznaz and secret agencies. There are several versions of the rifle, including the VSS sniper rifle which was featured in Bad Company 2.
